Preventive function

In stagnant water in our water management systems and in temperatures between 18⁰C and 45⁰C, different bacteria such as Legionella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and mycobacteria avirum multiply. Therefore, regular circulation of the water is important.

If the water contains bacteria, this can be inhaled through water aerosol or by microaspiration. For the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals, this means an increased risk. The shower is considered to be a common source of infection. Spoldosan simplifies the flushing of stagnant water from pipes, shower hose, and shower head and captures and reduces the amount of water spray in the shower room.

A prerequisite for Spoldosan's preventive function is right water temperatures for both cold <18⁰C and hot water >55⁰C at the thermostat after flushing. When the amount water aerosol decreases, this reduces the number of bacteria in the shower room and therefore decreases the risk of infection. This is equally as important in our home environment as our work environment.
