About Spoldosan

Spoldosan is a medical device class 1 Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC (MDD) that reduces the occurrence of legionella in the shower environment. Spoldosan is CE marked and tested by SP Technical Research Institute, Energy, Building Physics and Interior Environment, Report Number P702930 "Measuring reduction of steam content with and without Spoldosan at purging".

Preventive function

In stagnant water in our water management systems and in temperatures between 18⁰C and 45⁰C, different bacteria such as Legionella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and mycobacteria avirum multiply. Therefore, regular circulation of the water is important. 

Spoldosan as an aid

Spoldosan is a shower handle holder and an aid. It is an ergonomic tool that help patients, health professionals and other showering. Spoldosan can help people with disabilities to shower themselves.

Decreased water use

Torso Innovation offers an accessory to Spoldosan that reduces water usage by adding a filter to the shower thermostat. The filter is easy to install and is available for 6, 9, or 12 litres per minute.
